We are exceedingly competent in the field of Franchise Law and we specialize in the preparation and enforcement of Franchise Agreements as well as the general rights and obligations usually associated therewith.

We accept instructions from Franchisors in the enforcement of the provisions of their Franchise Agreements, viz-a-vis their Franchise outlets.

We also understand the need to prevent dominance and bullying from Franchisors and as such we accept instructions from, and provide guidance to, Franchisees in regard to their rights and obligations in terms of their Franchise Agreements.

We are competent to interpret and provide sound advice on many aspects of a standard or specific Franchise Agreement, including but not limited to restraint of trade clauses, financial matters, and general rights and obligations between Franchisor and Franchisee also including but not limited to the enforcement of restraint clauses, Franchisor/Franchisee relationships, implications of breach, termination of the Franchise Agreement and consequences flowing therefrom.

We deal with all issues of law affecting the family- ie marriage, including antenuptial contracts and divorce, domestic violence, maintenance matters, restraining orders, child-related disputes and general court actions and applications. Whilst we proceed promptly and vigorously with legal action when and where necessary, the same is always done cautiously and in consultation with our clients.

We practice out of the Johannesburg, Randburg and Booysens Magistrates Court (including Regional Divisions of such Courts) and the South Gauteng High Court, all of which fall within our jurisdiction. We do accept instructions on matters country wide with the use of correspondent attorneys in their relevant areas of jurisdiction.

Whilst litigation should always be approached with caution and put to practice as a last resort, we are highly efficient and effective in all litigious matters in the Higher and Lower Courts.

We are fluent and competent to offer general and specific advice and assistance in matters governed by the Companies Act 71 of 2008, and advise on general corporate governance and company structures. We pride ourselves on the drafting of contracts, as well as the interpretation and enforcement thereof.

We have extensive experience in collection matters and offer services from general advice,  summons, judgments and execution of judgments by way of warrants of attachment, garnishee orders and debtors court.  We have a large collections client base and hold extensive knowledge in legal collections. We act at all times within the ambit of the law and do not make use of strong-arm, illegal and unscrupulous tactics.

We are knowledgeable and competent in the preparation of Wills, Codicils and general Testaments, including Living wills.

We similarly provide advice in the preparation of Trust Deeds and the subsequent registration of the Trust, including mortis causa and discretionary trusts.

We understand the need for comprehensive and sound advice on all aspects of Estate Planning, with specific focus on the need to ensure that your loved ones are sufficiently provided for after death of a breadwinner, parent or sibling, and we take cognizance of this in the services we offer.

Given our broad knowledge, practical experience and general expertise in the civil courts, we choose to limit our attendances in criminal matters to general advice and bail applications. We are however competent to evaluate factual circumstances and provide an educated assessment of the existence or absence of criminal liability, and the probability or otherwise of criminal sanction by the State.

Although we do not prepare Liquidation and Distribution Account in insolvent or deceased estates, we do offer general advice and assistance in estate planning.  We also provide advice and assistance in the preparation of Wills, Codicils and general Testaments, including Living wills.
